Apple's OLED

Well i guess its been around for a while but just recently i came across news of Apple patenting its own OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) keyboard. There already is a keyboard like this created by some dude named Lebedev but from what i've heard it is extremely expensive. Obviously if Apple was to release the product they would be able to mass produce it thus making it cheaper. The thing is they filed for the patent in 2007 and here we are in 2009 so who knows if they will release anything like this anytime soon. The cool thing about these keyboards is that each key has its own OLEDs and circuitry, this means that the image displayed on each key can change for any application. This could greatly simplify applications like photoshop for example. If you've ever used photoshop you would know that there are tons of different keyboard short cuts that you have to learn in order to use the program effectively. With an OLED keyboard every function could be displayed right on your keys. When you opened iTunes there could be a play button displayed on your space bar and then once you hit play it would turn into a pause button. Pretty cool right? Hopefully something like this is in the near future for us.

iPhone 3G s

Obviously the best iPhone yet not to mention the best smart phone out there. I've had the iPhone 3G s for a day now and it's new features make it far better and more powerful than its predecessors. It's at least twice as fast when it comes to opening apps and web pages and it also allows you to shoot and edit video right in the palm of your hand. The voice control is awesome and simple to use. For me cut and paste is probably one of the best features and i love the simple picture messaging. Quite simply the best, most powerful, and most complete smart phone on the market.
